Feeling Stressed Out & How I Cope

Homework

It’s Been A While

I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been longer than I thought. Longer than I wanted. So where have I been and why have I been away? I guess that things just snowballed me a little. I’ve been working on lots of different projects and I think I stretched myself a bit too thin. I’ve been feeling stressed out so I had to take some time out to get myself together.

What’s the biggest thing that causes stress in your life?

Feeling Stressed

Feeling stressed is no fun. I’ve been doing too much and not taking enough time out for me. I can’t tell you the last time I spent time with my friends or my husband or even my child. I’ve seen them in passing or at meal times but I haven’t scheduled real-time out. Complete uninterrupted, unplugged devoted time out with the people I love! No wonder I’m feeling stressed!!

Coping With Feeling Stressed

Feeling stressed is a part of life. It’s unusual and I would probably go as far as saying unheard of to not ever feel stressed. Some people cope differently to others when it comes to feeling stressed but for me there are certain steps I like to take to help me cope.

  • Take a long hot bath
  • Read without feeling guilty that I’m not working or cleaning or doing any of the other things on my to do list.
  • Meditate
  • Take a long walk
  • Take a yoga class
  • Write in a journal

What do you do to cope with feeling stressed?

Feeling Like Me Again

I’ve taken some time out to refresh, regroup and just feel like me again. I think it’s important to do that sometimes. We go through life at such a fast pace it’s ok to stop and enjoy the moment for a while.

I’m hoping I can reveal to you soon what has been absorbing all of my time lately. I’ve put my heart and soul into this project and I am very excited so make sure you watch this space for more details! To be the first to know make sure you sign up to my newsletter in the sidebar!!

Taking a bath always helps to destress me. I also love going on walks with my parents dogs, it always helps to chill me out. o

Taking some time just to yourself is so important. A long bath sounds amazing as do a good old walk in the woods/park etc.

Good for you! Being stressed sucks and sometimes we all just need a break from things. I used to post twice a week on my blog and found I had to cut it back to just once a week because I was stressing myself out and not being able to spend quality time with my hubby. You do you!
