Ride or Die Makeup Products January 2017

Current Ride or Die Make-up

Much to my husbands dismay, my makeup collection is ever-growing and I love it!! A girl can never have too many lipsticks after all. I like to change-up my makeup regularly however I have some trusty ride or die makeup I wanted to share with you.

Bronzer

Without bronzer I am a pale, pasty mess and I must have a least a good draw full of different tones and shades. With some bronzers they can seem quite orange toned and I need more of a cool toned bronzer. My absolute ride or die has to be Nars Laguna bronzer. It’s a gorgeous rich brown colour with a shimmer of gold that adds an overall healthy glow to any look. It’s fabulous for contouring as well as all over bronzing. I flit between different bronzers but I just keep coming back to this one time and time again.

Eyebrows

For me, eyebrows need to be on fleek!! I literally feel confident wearing no makeup as long as my eyebrows are done! To me the eyebrow is the most vital part of makeup application as it completely frames the face. My go to has always been MAC mechanical eyebrow pencil in the shade Lingering. I found it easy to use on even on a bad eyebrow day! That all changed when I tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer. Oh my days this is life!!! I use the shade ‘soft brown’ and literally cannot be without it. Conveniently one end has a soft brow brush and the other side is a creamy retractable pencil which has a triangular tip, that can be used to mimic fine hairs or darken the tail area beautifully. Since getting the brow definer I am yet to pick up another eyebrow product I love as much making itmy ultimate ride or die right now.

Lipstick

I mix my lipstick up daily based on my mood or outfit but I do have an ultimate ride or die that I know I can rely on and that is MAC Velvet Teddy. This is a matte lipstick in a beautiful nude tone that just really enhances my lips. I find nude shades can be hard to work with as if they are the wrong tone they can completely wash you out. I love wearing this with a day look and pairing it with a glamorous eye for an evening look.

Concealer

For hiding blemishes I love a good full coverage concealer like MAC Studio Finish because I know I can rely on it disguising those areas I want hidden. When it comes to under eye concealing though I have a different choice that has become my ride or die and that is Urban Decay Naked Skin. This concealer is a beautiful creamy consistency that sets beautifully and brightens they under eye perfectly. I’ve dabbled about with different concealers and I don’t really know how I have lived without this one before now.

Eye Shadow

There are two ride or die eye shadows I had to mention. The first is Makeup Geek Creme Brulee which is a soft/medium sandy toned brown. I find this a staple for transitioning and blending almost any eye shadow look. I also have an obsession with the pigmentation and creaminess of makeup geek eye shadows which makes this my absolute go to.

The second eye shadow I had to mention is MAC Nylon. I use this to highlight the inner corner and brow bone and oh my its fabulous!! I don’t like to use a highlight in these areas that is over the top or stark white and this fits my needs perfectly. The colour is shimmery and can be built up if you want a more dramatic look or blended to become more natural for daytime. I am yet to find a highlighter that makes the inner eye and brow bone pop like this one.

What are your ride or die makeup items right now? Is there something I absolutely must try? Let me know in the comments below!!!
