I’m A Studio Ambassador For 2019 (AD)

I recently announced some very exciting news over on my Instagram account. Let me start by saying, shamelessly if you don’t follow me over there you really should! It’s the place where I share things in the moment, behind the scenes stuff and my general thoughts and views at the time! Anyway, if you did miss the announcement, I was sharing the fantastic news that I have been selected to become a Studio Ambassador for the rest of the year!

My Memories of Studio

I have fond memories of Studio from my childhood where I would flick through my mother’s catalogue lusting over items in that way children do in the lead up to Christmas.  I have also shopped at Studio myself in the past finding it an excellent place for Christmas gifts, but I realised that I don’t actually know too much about the company so when I was invited as a Studio Ambassador I revelled in the opportunity to learn more about their vision and brand values.

The Studio I remember from my childhood is much different from that of today having gone through a complete revamp they are now strong market competitors and definitely a brand I’m excited to be involved with.

Studio – Who are they?

Studio started back in 1962 as a mail order catalogue that specialised in paper-based products. When I mention Studio to my grandparents, that is the first thing that comes to mind for them, and they wax lyrical about cards and wrapping paper! Studio then branched out and started selling an extensive range of products and gifts becoming known for their free personalisation options.

Fast forward to the present and Studio are still prominent in that personalisation and gift market, but you can also shop homeware, interior, fashion and designer brands all at a fraction of the price. In total, they offer more than 40,000 items online, and customers can shop right from their mobile phone or tablet.

Everyone Loves a Bargain

I love a good bargain, after all, I am a mother of two and kids cost money! I used to spend my paycheck on designer sunglasses, handbags and holidays but now I have to be much more practical, and I love nothing more than finding an affordable alternative. In honesty, though I have been stung in the past with the whole “buy cheap, buy twice.” It is a particular worry when you can’t feel and touch the item beforehand, but as a busy mum, I don’t have the luxury of time, so going shopping is not always ideal. I much prefer an online peruse usually in the middle of the night when my 11-month-old wakes up for the fifteenth time! This sees me spending way more than I would like because I worry about the bargain buys not being up to standard!

So, when I visited the Studio offices, and they gave me a behind the scenes tour I was frankly blown away. When they handed me a super soft children’s bathrobe and told me it was only £7.99 I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Oh, and did I mention that price included personalisation!!!!

I think it was from that moment I realised that Studio is hitting that affordable market that we all want yet they weren’t skimping on quality. I felt more furniture throws, midi dresses, bedding, towels and even dinner sets to see for myself that it wasn’t too good to be true.

What does Being a Studio Ambassador Mean?

As I work as a Studio Ambassador, I will be showcasing different items from their website each month and really putting them through their paces. Believe me when I say my kids can destroy something by looking at it the wrong way so if the quality isn’t there you’ll be the first to know!

As part of my Studio Ambassador role, I was kindly gifted with some of their gorgeous items to take away, which I have included in some of the images in this post. I’ve mentioned the personalised Super Soft Bathrobe for Hugo at a crazy £7.99, but they also do them in adult size too for £9.99!!

I also got a gorge pair of spotty PJ’s (£12.99) a personalised makeup bag (£24.99) personalised notebook (£12.99) and pen(£2.99) oh and a beautiful yet very practical metallic gold water bottle (£12.99). Henry got a pair of personalised PJ’s (£5.99) and some personalised colouring pencils which I frankly cannot fault at £2.49 hello class birthday present!!

I hope as I show you more of the brand in the coming months just like me you will see exactly how Studio could quickly become your favourite place to shop!

I’m joined as a Studio Ambassador by Apartment Number 4, Boo Roo and Tigger Too, The Ordinary Lovely, Rachel The Hat, Ellie Polly, Sparkles & Stretchmarks, What The Redhead Said, Emma Plus Three, & Fifi McGee.
