The Perks of the Job
When I was very luckily invited along to a Cocktail Making Masterclass at Revolution on Oxford Road in Manchester how could I refuse! I have to admit I had no idea what to expect and I was extremely blinded by the prospect of cocktails on a school night! I have never thought about doing a cocktail making masterclass before but after having so much fun I’m left asking myself why??
A Cocktail Making Masterclass
When we arrived at Revolution we were shown to a private function room upstairs. This room had a private bar, ample seating and private toilet facilities. If you were hosting a Cocktail Making Masterclass your guests would have their own space without even having to enter the bar downstairs! Emma the sales and events manager who had organised the event explained that when hosting a Cocktail Making Masterclass, you have space for your own DJ or entertainment if you choose and guests can order food from the Revolution menu and it is brought upstairs to the private room.
Packages & Prices
There are four Cocktail Making Masterclass Packages to choose from:
The Cocktail Masterclass from £25.00 Per Person
This package includes a welcome cocktail, cocktail making demonstration and tasting, games, canepes and a chance to have a go at making your own cocktail!
The Cocktail Masterclass + Party Nibbles from £30.00 Per Person
The standard Cocktail Making Masterclass package with the inclusion of some party nibbles to share!
The Cocktail Masterclass + 2 Course Dining from £35.00 Per Person
Again the standard Cocktail Masterclass Package including 2 course dining from the kitchen menu!
The Cocktail Masterclass + 3 Course Dining from £38.00 Per Person
As with the other packages this includes the standard Cocktail Masterclass but with a 3 course dining package!
Considering I would never have thought about doing a Cocktail Making Masterclass I had the absolute best time. It’s very energising and engaging and not simply just watching someone else making cocktails. It is definitely an experience where you can get as involved as you feel comfortable. The games are really fun and entertaining and not directed at a student age group which I was most worried about! Being a Mum I have to admit that I go out for drinks rarely. I just feel like I’m passed the whole crawling from bar to bar. I think that’s probably why the Cocktail Making Masterclass was so me because it was like a private party but in a bar environment!
The staff are all extremely polite and friendly. Our whole party was made to feel extremely welcomed throughout the experience.
It’s not all about booze and drinking alcohol either. Revolution were very able to cater for those choosing not to indulge in alcoholic beverages and had a number of cocktails that were non alcoholic but still looked as spectacular as the alcoholic versions! Revolution do their Masterclasses across all of their Revolution bars so you aren’t restricted to just Manchester!
I would highly recommend a Cocktail Making masterclass for a Hen Party, Birthday or any general gathering of people where you just want to have a boat load of fun!!!!
As a memento for completing the Cocktail Making masterclass everyone gets a certificate and a cocktail shaker to take home!!
When you weigh up the price per person against what you get its extreme value for money. Don’t be put off that Cocktail Making Masterclass = Students and young adults it’s probably more fun for someone like me because I appreciated it so much more than I would when I was younger!
