Romeo’s Lab from PJ Masks Review

PJ Masks Romeo’s Lab

Henry my six-year-old is a tad obsessed with PJ Masks. We recently reviewed a couple of the Turbo Blast Racers which were a big hit. I’ve been trying to reduce Henrys screen time because he was spending quite a huge amount of his time on the computer playing games. By doing this his behaviour has improved and he has been playing much more imaginative games with his toys. Of course, I knew when we were offered to try out the new PJ Masks Romeo’s Lab Henry would be keen!

Toys that are based on TV shows give children an imaginative aspect that they don’t have with the TV alone. Henry really enjoys creating his own stories with the characters and the addition of the PJ Masks Romeo’s Lab has made that much more exciting.

Romeo’s Lab can be driven forwards or backwards as Romeo and his Robot go about their daily missions of causing mayhem for the PJ Mask Crew. If you open the lab you will reveal the secret lair spread over two levels. Romeo’s Lab comes complete with a laser launcher, rolling lab charger working crane and a control panel with lights and sound. There are two figures included – Romeo and his Robot and the play set is compatible with other PJ Masks play sets (not included.)

Henry was impressed with the control panel and the lights and sounds were impressive. He found the playset easy to play with and use without assistance. Romeo’s lab is well made and can withstand some rough handed play from younger users without issue which impresses me as a parent. When purchasing a toy like this you want your children to have the ability to play with it freely without it breaking. Some toys are made of flimsy materials but this playset is quite robust and should last a long time.

Romeo’s Lab has an RRP of £49.99 which initially I thought was expensive however this is a big playset that is well made and long lasting and after seeing and reviewing the toy I think the price is very fair. My only quibble with the whole unit is getting it out of the box was a nightmare. There are lots of fiddly cable ties to contend with but once it is out of the box it is easy and simple to assemble.
