When Is The Manchester Christmas Market 2023

This year, the Manchester Christmas Market 2023 will be held from the 10th of November to the 21st of December. The very first Manchester Christmas Market was held back in 1998, making it 25 Christmas’ of festive fun in the city!

What To Expect

With more than 225 stalls scattered across nine different locations in the beautiful Manchester city centre, this year’s Christmas markets are poised to feature the distinctive ski chalet-style market stalls dominating Piccadilly Gardens. The transformation of these spaces, including Market Street, Cathedral Gardens, Exchange Street, New Cathedral Street, St Ann’s Square, Exchange Square, The Corn Exchange, and King Street, is set to evoke the enchanting atmosphere of Winter Gardens once again.

Don’t forget the Manchester Christmas lights trail featuring giant walk-through baubles, the iconic Manchester bee, and the jolly red-suited man himself! Perfect for those festive family photos or Instagram selfies!

Of course, there is plenty of shopping to be had, with an extensive range of stalls selling gifts, decorations, crafts and, of course, all of the Christmas market food you can handle! If it all gets too much, you can take a break and enjoy a festive tipple whilst you soak up the sights.
